2nd Line It Support Engineer



£21000 - £25000/annum

This is a great opportunity to join a growing IT support business, involved right at the heart providing customer support at 1st and 2nd line with the flexibility to take ownership of any situation. The right candidate will also be responsible for managing installations, projects and providing assistance to 3rd line engineers on larger projects, including on-site visits to local customers.

The right candidate will possess :-

* Excellent communication skills

* Self-motivated and enthusiastic

* Previous experience in a 2nd line support capacity

* Your own car and full licence - on site local visits are a requirement

* Problem solving and attention to detail


* Providing remote support to end users

* Troubleshooting with respect to Windows, Mac and Microsoft Office applications along with peripherals

* Supporting and configuring server solutions including Windows, Exchange and virtualisation e.g. VM Ware

* Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy

* Back up solutions and principles

* Preventative maintenance on PCs, networks and servers

* Office 365

* Network devices such as wireless routers and firewalls

* Understanding of VLANs, NAT and VPNs

Excellent progression is available from 2nd to 3rd line and Project Engineers for the right candidates
