Machine Learning Engineers – Finance – London

Machine Learning Engineers required at all levels to provide consultancy in the fields of data, analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to corporate clients and internally. The team works closely with in-house consultants to various client facing business units within company.


You will be responsible for:

• Decomposing and solving complex data problems.

• Conducting rigorous analysis and evaluations based on data.

• Leading technical direction in the development of data science technology in the following areas:

o Statistics

o Machine Learning

o Natural Language Processing

o Deep Learning

• Writing quality reusable code using software development processes and version control.

• Any other reasonable task as advised from time-to-time.

Technical Competencies

Comfortable working at all levels in a typical data science stack with the following technologies:

• Dashboard Tableau, Shiny, D3.js/DC.js or similar.

• R (essential) and Python (desirable).

• Familiarity with both SQL / No-SQL type databases.

• Familiarity with cloud computing; Azure / AWS, Linux, Bash shell & GIT.


• Primary Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or other similar quantitative field essential.

• Candidates with a PhD or MSc in statistics, machine learning or artificial intelligence desirable.

• A sufficient level of experience working on real-world data-science systems/problems.

• A background in working in financial services would be a bonus.

• To help implement data analytics techniques within a business environment.

• To help build and embed a data science function within the organisation.

• To help the client build and grow a successful and profitable data science consultancy business.

• Constantly learn about developments in the fields of data analytics, machine learning, statistics and technology.
