IT Support Technician - 3rd Line

Job Title - IT Support Technician - 3rd Line Location - Devizes, Wiltshire Salary - £33-40K DOE Type - Permanent Hours - Fulltime, based onsite The Company My client is a leading manufacturing business located in the Southwest, and they manufacture precision parts, primarily serving the automotive, aerospace and power generation industries supplying a worldwide customer base. The company has three sites within the Southwest of England, one in Bath and two in Devizes and this position will be located within the Devizes sites but also covering the Bath site as and when required. The role: Within the role of IT Support Technician, you will support all areas of the business, providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support within the business. The main responsibilities will be: Investigate and resolve technical issues escalated from 1st and 2nd line support. Maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy. Performing routine system maintenance tasks, including updates and patches of endpoints. Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and configurations for reference and knowledge sharing. Provide training and guidance to other team members. Participate in monitoring security best practices to protect systems and data from cybersecurity threats. Assisting in planning and implementing IT infrastructure changes. User training when required.The hours: The working hours within the role are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with 30 minutes unpaid lunch and 08:00 15:30 on Fridays. Skills/Experience required: Experience in a 3rd line support role.
