Configuration Manager

Strategically located near Reading, this full-time hybrid position offers a dynamic work environment with the expectation of on-site engagement for three days a week.
Our client, a major Defence Contractors Configuration Management function, seeks a dedicated Configuration Manager to join their expanding team. Embedded within the clients organization, youll play a pivotal role in supporting the coherent management of crucial information, ensuring an accurate baseline for a significant project at the client site. As a Configuration Manager, youll be at the forefront of a fundamental activity, demonstrating control of key information developed through the lifecycle of this major project in preparation for operational handover.
Key Objectives:
As part of the Project Delivery and Controls Function, your primary responsibilities include managing, monitoring, and reporting on the delivery of Configuration Management across the project. Youll ensure that Configuration Management processes, requirements, and standards are in place, coordinating with Supply Chain organizations to align their activities with client expectations. Additionally, youll provide vital document configuration support to the client team to manage and maintain all internal document configurations and storage effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, youll need an HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction or engineering discipline, with relevant Configuration Management qualifications or equivalent experience. Your effective communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and organizational prowess will contribute to your success. As a motivated and committed team player, youll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your experience with Ministry of Defence or similar Government Organizations and Tier 1 Defence Contractors.
