The Company

Exclusive Networks is a value-add distributor specialised in the marketing of new security, storage and networking technologies for corporate users.

We act as the local representative for our vendors. We have established and continue to develop our network of resellers and provide promotional, training and technical support for the solutions we market.


Job purpose

To ensure that EXN UK :

  • Comply with all regulatory controls for importing into the UK

  • Adhere to all global controls for the movement of dual use product for our global deliveries in accordance with our clients expectations and capabilities

  • Physical product moves from supplier to customer via the EXN warehouse facility efficiently and effectively

  • Receive the most cost effective and efficient service from our third party logistic suppliers

  • Educate and train all staff on the need for export licenses and export rules and regulations


Accountabilities and Activities

  • Managing all global delivery projects from quote stage to final delivery at every step of the process ensuring delays are minimised and deadlines are met, tracking key milestones and achieving the best solution for the client with the optimum financial margins

  • Analyse and report on third party logistic providers service against current SLA’s

  • Work with our vendors to improve supply of product from source to delivery

  • Work with the Warehouse Team to ensure that the function is working efficiently and effectively

  • Responsible for Export license procedures and documentation

  • Ensuring that the database of product info – weights and dimensions, HTS and ECCN codes are up to date 

  • Maintain and update manuals for all import and export procedures


Person Specification


  • Minimum 5 years of global logistics (End to End Shipping, Import/Export)
  • Experience of Incoterm DDP shipping

  • Minimum 2 years of either supervisory or a management role

  • Experience of managing third party logistics suppliers

  • Experience of shipping Dual Use controlled product from the UK with an understanding of UK Controlled list and US EAR regulations



  • Experience of third party IOR (Importer of Record) delivery to end user

  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and have excellent analytical and numerical skills with a good eye for detail.

  • Working for a distributor in a similar industry


The ideal candidate will need:

  • To show experience of working with a Kaizen methodology to improve productivity, reduce waste, eliminate unnecessary hard work and humanize the workplace

  • To show experience in working in a sales environment and of having commercial outlook to decision making

  • To work well under pressure within a team environment and the ability to be able to prioritise with good time management

  • The ability to know when to progress issues up the chain of management to ensure a satisfactory and timely conclusion.

  • Willingness to take on colleagues’ tasks when the need arises, and to provide cover during periods of absence or peak periods.

  • The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with both internal & external clients

  • To work well under pressure within a team environment and the ability to be able to prioritise with good time management


Travel requirement: To other Exclusive Networks offices in London, Chesterfield and Newmarket where necessary, and to client sites.
