Job Title: Senior Project Professional- Delivery

Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Starting from £38,373 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Reviewing and being project lead for individual projects and developing a project & delivery plan through to implementation
  • Supporting and collaborating with Industrial Partners and technical teams to optimise and de-risk propulsion plans
  • Converting the scope of the Statement of Requirements into a Lifecycle Management Delivery Plan
  • Project reporting and regular communication to all key stakeholders.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management and escalation to programme teams when required
  • Producing EVM (Earned Value Management) statistics on the project

Your skills and experiences:

  • APM qualified or equivalent by experience
  • Good knowledge and application of Project management toolsets, specifically JIRA, Confluence, ARM and Microsoft Projects
  • Lifecycle management experience
  • Good knowledge of Enabling Functions - Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Practical understanding of Commercial aspects of projects

The PNED (Platform Nuclear Engineering Department) team:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the PNED team, who strive to improve and enhance the delivery of submarine nuclear plants and propulsion systems across several programmes. With exposure to Industrial Partners, involvement in the early stages of the Dreadnought Programme and, more recently, the SSNA Programme, you will be able to support and influence the course of these programmes.
