The Burford Recruitment Company are working on behalf of an industry leader, who are a trusted and highly regarded financial services business. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to be based at their Witney, Oxfordshire office.
As a 3rd Line IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. You will be responsible for supporting over 100 employees and providing expert-level support, resolving complex technical issues, and implementing strategic IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide 3rd line technical support for escalated issues, including server, network, and infrastructure problems.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex IT issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the company's IT systems and data from cyber threats.
- System Administration: Perform system administration tasks, including user management, system monitoring, and backup management.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Project Support: Assist in the planning, implementation, and management of IT projects to enhance the company's technology capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar level IT support role
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Supporting Microsoft (Office) 365 Including: Email, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint
- Good working knowledge of networking: Firewalls, Switches, Patching and Wi-Fi
The position is fully office based, so you will need to live within a commutable distance to Witney, Oxfordshire.
