We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Product Manager to join our Hybrid Cloud Services team. We are designing, developing and operating, the DWP Strategic hosting platform that underpins service transformation across DWP, using a product led strategy. Delivering world-class products Our team provides services that balance on-premise and public cloud to offer true platform independence and optimum price performance to applications teams across DWP Digital. Our core users are DWP Engineers rather than external users. We'd describe this Senior PM role as extremely strategic, challenging and rewarding. You'll lead and collaborate with a group of Product Managers and Associate Product Managers on DWP's Public Cloud Shared Services Service offer. You'll be the Product Manager in charge across a number of shared services - this will mean working alongside our HCS platform engineering lead. You will also work closely with our Lead Product Manager to support the success of User Centred Design and Product Community. You'll be a respected product management expert, and hands on when you need to be. And you'll also line manage and lead other Product Managers, and product development squads. You'll make sure people understand the value of the work we do, solve problems in our PDUs, and build out a backlog and roadmap based on user needs, business needs and value. What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? (Lead Criteria) You have provided leadership and taken accountability for development of a product strategy and its road map, delivering hosting solutions that have been reused by application teams. You've managed a product through the different stages of the product lifecycle with a different range of stakeholder engagement approaches at each stage. Experience of working across different departments to effectively communicate a product vision (where end users were engineers) and gain stakeholder buy in. You have managed and mentored agile product teams who have solved problems in order to deliver highly quality engineering products and services. Details. Wages. Perks. You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%. That could be worth as much £22,521 a year in your pension pot.
