The Company

Exclusive Networks is a value-add distributor specialised in the marketing of new security, storage and networking technologies for corporate users.

We act as the local representative for our vendors. We have established and continue to develop our network of resellers and provide promotional, training and technical support for the solutions we market.


Job Purpose

The role of the Product Sales Specialist is to identify and acquire new Resellers, building a plan to enable and grow their DC & Cloud business with Exclusive Networks.


Activities and Accountabilities

  • Follow up on sales generated interest as well as their own efforts

  • Qualify, plan, enable and drive adoption and growth of the DC & Cloud portfolio

  • Work closely with Vendor Managers to help aid growth

  • Build strong vendor relationships to promote Exclusive Networks and the partners.

  • Present Exclusive’s value proposition and vendor materials

  • Responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets

  • Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships through true partnerships that will enable you to develop a deep understanding of their needs

  • Uncover and explore new opportunities across new channels to increase market share.

  • Tracking the sales and ensuring that saturation levels are high

  • Generating leads, arrange face to face meetings with potential new clients to increase visibility of the product and the brand across the UK

  • Take responsibility for their own learning

  • Drive attendance to Exclusive Networks event/webinars.

  • Ensure that the CRM system is up to date with the correct Quote & Opportunity information to ensure accurate forecasting etc.

  • The candidate must be able to understand a diverse range of vendor products ensuring that knowledge of features and pricing is up to date.

  • Hold strong internal relationships and use this resource to further enhance the reseller

  • Generate a forward plan for your portfolio of accounts and how you intend to grow revenues 


Person Specification

Essential skills for the correct candidate will be:

  • Responsive and efficient

  • Strong communication skills, with good telephone manner

  • Strong follow up and negotiation skills and demonstrable ability to use influencing skills to close business and sell additional products and services

  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Exceptional administrative skills

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Holds strong relationships both internally and externally

  • Takes responsibility for personal development with a strong desire to work to and surpass targets

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

  • Ability to problem solve, identifying a client’s needs and respond accordingly

  • Self-starter who can motivate themselves and takes a positive approach to sales

  • A proven track record of successful new business sales and business development capabilities

Preferred attributes but not necessary are:

  • Knowledge of IT Datacentre Industry – knowledge of our vendors would be excellent

  • Previous use of Netsuite CRM system

  • Knowledge of SPIN or Miller Heiman Strategic Sales


Travel Requirement

Primary location is Chesterfield or Alton. There will be the requirement for off-site meetings and events.
